Verifactu (AEAT) · Spanish Royal Decree 1007/2023

Comply with Verifactu without headaches

Spain's verifiable invoicing system is mandatory for all freelancers and businesses. We integrate it into your existing tool or deliver a turnkey solution with FactuPoints.

What is Verifactu

It's the Spanish Tax Agency's system to validate every issued invoice in real time. Each document is signed, hash-chained to the previous one and sent to AEAT with a verifiable QR code.

What's in our Verifactu package

📋

RD 1007/2023 compliant

We implement every technical specification published by AEAT, including the sanctions regime.

🔐

XML digital signing

Every invoice is signed with the company's digital certificate before sending.

🔗

SHA-256 chaining

Each hash links to the previous one. Tampering with a past invoice breaks the chain.

📲

QR code and URL

The printed or PDF invoice carries a scannable QR confirming the AEAT submission.

🔁

Persistent queue + retries

If AEAT goes down or fails, the invoice waits in the queue and retries automatically.

🧾

Adapts to your system

No need to swap your whole invoicing setup. We hook into your current program via API or connector.

How we install it

Audit your current invoicing

Which tool, how many docs/month, which DB, how invoices are printed.

Define the integration

Direct connector, plug-in or REST API. We send a fixed-price quote.

Configure the certificate

We use your existing digital certificate (FNMT, AC Camerfirma, etc.) or get one for you.

Connect to AEAT test environment

First we send all invoices to AEAT's sandbox to validate.

Switch to production

When everything matches, we move to the real endpoint. We train you to monitor the queue and handle errors.

Maintain

Continuous support: regulatory updates, queue monitor, AEAT troubleshooting when needed.

Frequently asked questions

What if I don't comply?

Fines up to €50,000 for using non-compliant invoicing software. Inspectors check the program's conformity certificate.

Do I have time?

Companies obligated from Jan 1, 2026; freelancers from Jul 1, 2026. We recommend implementing 2-3 months earlier to test.

Does it work with my old program?

Yes. Our specialty is connecting Verifactu to legacy programs (Access, VB6, discontinued ERPs) without rewriting everything.

How does it differ from SII?

SII is post-hoc reporting to AEAT (4 days). Verifactu is real-time. If you do SII, you still need Verifactu.

What if AEAT goes down?

The persistent queue stores invoices locally and sends them when AEAT recovers. You never lose data.

Does it work for foreign customers?

Yes, the obligation is on the Spanish issuer, not the recipient. Intra-EU operations are included.
